My Art:
Don Goodrich
Zion, Illinois
More of my pottery can be seen at:

I've been exploring the possibilities of clay since 1988.
These days, most of my work is porcelain decorated with sprigged figures of dogs,
and is used as http://dongoodrichpottery.com/dogs/ dog show trophies.

I love to experiment, and am fond of the unique patterns in old wood.
Allowing these patterns impressed in clay to guide the flow of of melted glass
creates combinations of color and form that would never otherwise be seen.
Using glass in clay lends itself especially well to http://dongoodrichpottery.com/candle.htm candle sconces.

The community of people who work in clay is rich and varied. There are endless opportunities to learn and share.  For this reason, I'm a member of the http://www.clayworkersguild.com Clayworkers' Guild, http://nceca.net/ NCECA, the http://ceramicartsdaily.org/potterscouncil/ Potters Council, and http://lsv.ceramics.org/archivedata/clayart.html ClayArt.

So much to do, so little time!
