My Art: In
a world where the only constant is change, art has been the one constant
throughout my life.
I have always
considered myself a sculptor, but once I left school it became painfully
obvious that conventional supplies and tools to create three-dimensional
art forms were either hard to find or very expensive. As a result, I
spent many years pursuing two-dimensional art forms.
After decades of
living in a shadow, in 1998 a light went on. I found the art form
that changed my life. Pottery. While I still enjoy drawing & painting a
great deal, there is the something special about tactile pursuits that
(for me) cannot be matched.
In January of 2007
I was re-elected President of the
Clayworkers' Guild of Illinois.
In October of 2006 I was
elected Vice President of the Northwest Area Arts Council.
