Jailhouse Potters

My Art:
My work is created from ideas, inspired from anything that I come across
during my daily travels. I could see a gall on a tree -- or a vase
in a Hallmark store, or someone else's work that motivates me to try a
different style. Sometimes ideas for pots come just out of my head
while I am making another pot. I do, however, make regular bowls and
plates and serving dishes on a regular basis just to provide functional
pots for people to use everyday. The journey through the development
of the pieces and my experience with clay is a never-ending process and I
hope it continues for a very long time. Come see my work and the
work of others from the Guild at Jailhouse Potters in Woodstock on the
Square (Woodstock, IL).
In January of 2006
I was re-elected Vice-President of the
Clayworkers' Guild of Illinois.
